Agendas and Minutes
With the resumption of full in person learning for the start of the 2021-22 School Year, so too will in person Board meetings, Workshops and Board Committee meetings resume. Beginning in August, the School Board meetings and workshops will be held in person at the Education Center (or other location as designated by the Board President/Superintendent).
These meetings will continue to be livestreamed and recorded, however public comments for Board Meetings and Workshops will need to be made either in person during the meeting or by submitting a form on the website by 5 p.m. the day of the meeting, after which they will be presented to the Board at the meeting. Public comments submitted online prior to the meeting will not be read aloud publically at the meeting nor be added to the video recording or minutes of the meeting, but they will be provided to the Board for their review prior to the start of the meeting. There will be no “live” public comment available for those not physically present at the meeting and livestreaming the meetings. Board committees will also resume in person meetings. There will be no livestream offered for these, but they will all be recorded and posted online, with the exception of the Policy Committee meetings.
As always, the Board Communication Line is open for anyone to communicate any concerns with the Board.
For the 2021-22 School Year, all links, including livestreams, recordings, agendas and minutes will be housed here (the Virtual School Board Meetings page, which was utilized from March 2020-June 2021 has been removed).
Beginning Tuesday, September 7, masks must be worn by students, staff, and visitors inside of all UPSD buildings, based upon the Masking Order from the PA Secretary of Health and the UPSD Health and Safety Plan. Only those individuals who are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition AND who have received a pre-approved mask exemption from UPSD in advance of the meeting will be permitted to attend a Board meeting without wearing a mask. Exemption requests must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance of a Board meeting and shall be directed to the Board Secretary.

About School Board Meetings & Workshops
The Upper Perkiomen Board of School Directors meet throughout the year to discuss, review and vote on matters that affect the students, parents and taxpayers of the School District.
All meetings are held at the Upper Perkiomen Education Center, 2229 E. Buck Road, Pennsburg, PA unless otherwise noted. The public is invited to attend in order to learn about the developments taking place in the District and to provide input as they see fit.
Agendas for the meetings are posted the week of the meeting, typically 48 hours in advance. Minutes for the meetings are posted immediately after approval, which normally occurs at the next School Board meeting.
School Board meetings take place on the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Agenda items will be voted on by the Board at these meetings. For the 2021-22 School Year, Board meetings will be livestreamed, and the recordings will be posted after the meeting for review.
Informational Board workshop meetings will be held the 4th Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Workshops are held for all Board members to meet and discuss and/or review items in a committee of the whole structure. For the 2021-22 School Year, Board workshops will be livestreamed, and the recordings will be posted after the meeting for review. Occasionally, official action may take place at a workshop; however, that is not the norm.
School Board committees typically meet on a monthly basis to discuss topics of relevance to their missions, and bring information and recommendations back to the Board as whole. Committee meetings are not livestreamed, though they are recorded and posted after the meeting for review, with the exception of the policy committee.
