About Me
Meet Ms. Bohling!
My name is Ms. Bohling and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher at Marlborough Elementary School. This will be my 9th year teaching at Marlborough and 7th year in 3rd grade! I am so happy to work with such a wonderful team here in Upper Perk!
My Background
Personal Life
When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading, hiking & walking, watching movies, playing board games, weightlifting, and getting tattoos!
Another special and important piece of information about me is that I am a CAT person! I have two adorable cats named Oreo and Socks. If you are in my class you will hear all sorts of stories about the crazy, silly things they do. I love to snuggle with them, play with them, and take pictures of them when they are sleeping.

Snack
We will have snack in the afternoon. Students will be expected to work while they eat their snack. Therefore, please make sure your child brings in a healthy snack that is NOT messy. Some good choices would be: carrots, celery sticks, apple, banana, grapes, blueberries, crackers, pretzels, goldfish. NO PEANUTS PLEASE. If students are not bringing appropriate snacks, or they are not eating appropriately (getting crumbs on the floor, unable to work and eat at the same time), I may need to stop allowing snack.
Also: your child may bring in a water bottle to put on his/her desk. They are not allowed to bring juice, gatorade, smoothies, etc. If possible, please have your child bring a re-usable water bottle labeled with their name and remind them to bring it home each day to rinse and refill it.
Bathroom
3rd grade classrooms do not have bathrooms. Students will be using the stall bathrooms this year. We will take whole class bathroom breaks throughout the day. At the beginning of the year we usually do 2 per day and then as time goes on we reduce it to 1 whole class break per day. The students will be taught what other times they are allowed to use the bathroom, such as when they first arrive, during specials, before recess, during brain breaks, and at the end of the day. Please know that if your child is coming home and telling you, "Mrs. Bohling is not letting me go to the bathroom," this is probably not true. Remind your child to ask at appropriate times and not in the middle of instruction. If it is a true emergency I will always let them go.
Homework
I will discuss more about my homework policy at Meet the Teacher night!
