Attendance

Daily attendance is essential for success in second grade. If an illness should occur parents are asked to contact the nurse at215-541-7299 x7209 in the morning before school to register all absences. On the day your child returns to school, please send an absentee form stating the reason for the absence. I am providing some absentee forms for your convenience. A doctor’s note is needed for your child to remain inside at recess.

Volunteers

I welcome your help and assistance throughout the school year. If you would be available to help with activities throughout the school year please sign the volunteer sheet. Also if you would be willing to help as a Homeroom Parent please contact me. If you have not completed a sheet for parent helpers please complete one as soon as possible. If you plan on volunteering more than ten times, you will need a clearance if you do not have one.

After School Pickup

All children not riding home on their assigned buses are to be picked up in the gym. A note must be received by 8:45 am indicating that they are not riding the bus and that other arrangements have been made for them. If no note is received all children are required to ride home on their assigned bus. Parents are not to wait in the hallway outside their child’s classroom for them to be dismissed. Children are dismissed to the library and parents are to sign the children out in the LGI.

Visitor’s Badge

Any visitor must first stop at the school office and pick up a Visitor’s Badge if they wish to walk within the building. This badge is to be worn at all times while the individual is in the building. This policy has been developed to help provide a safe environment for the students and the staff at Marlborough School.
