Mrs. Mata

Welcome parents and students! My name is Mrs. Alicia Mata and I teach social studies here at Upper Perkiomen High School. Prior to becoming a teacher I attended the University of Delaware (Go Blue Hens!) where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education. I later earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Kutztown University. I began my teaching career at Brandywine Heights High School and was lucky to join the Upper Perk team in the Fall of 2016.

On a more personal note, I enjoy reading, running, shopping and spending time with my family! I live in Gilbertsville with my husband Chris, who is also a teacher and my two boys Landon and Grayson!
