As an undergraduate, I attended Penn State University, graduating in May of 2000 with a degree in elementary and kindergarten education. My first teaching experience was as a 4th grade student teaching intern in the State College Area School District during the 1999-2000 school year. Following graduation from Penn State, I returned to southeast Pennsylvania and began my teaching career as a 5th grade teacher in the East Penn School District. In 2004, I came to the Upper Perkiomen School District as the elementary gifted education teacher. I held that position for one year, then taught half-day kindergarten for two years. From the fall of 2007 until the fall of 2021 I taught second grade. In December of 2021 I became the elementary gifted teacher for Hereford and Marlborough. I hold a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Penn State University, with a focus on literacy. I have also taken additional courses on educating gifted students, students with physical and mental handicaps, Autism and Asperger's, learning disabilities, and behavioral/emotional disorders.
Hereford - Room 38: From the main office, go left through the circle around the LGI and continue through the building to the new wing. Once you've entered the new wing by going down the steps, continue to the second hallway. Turn right, and my classroom is halfway down the hall on the right.
Marlborough - Room 51: From the main office, continue to the main hallway wing. Use the far set of steps to reach the second floor. My classroom is located across the hall from the stairs, set back between the two staff restrooms.
