My Family

My husband and I have a little boy named Everett and a puppy named Ginger.

Teaching Career:

• 4 years in half-day kindergarten at Hereford Elementary
• 9 years in first grade at Hereford Elementary
• 1 year in kindergarten and fourth grade at Spring-Ford School District

Educational Background:

• Lebanon Valley College - Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education
• Kutztown University - Master's of Education with a Reading Specialist Certification

Rainbow Sight Words:

• Students will practice reading words every night to memorize 92 words
• The list is divided into color groups. Students will get one set of words at a time.
• Assessments will happen every 2-3 weeks.

AM Kindergarten will have specials during the first half of the year.

PM Kindergarten has specials during the second half of the year.

Please follow the following schedule:

Day 1: FLITE

Day 2: Music

Day 3: Gym

Day 4: Library

Day 5: Art

Day 6: no special - intervention day

• Call the "Attendance Line" and leave a message - (215)-541-3405
• Send in an excuse note within 3 days of returning to school include: Child's full name, grade, reason, date of absence, and parent signature
• Family Educational Trips - complete form at least one week prior to absence
• Only 10 cumulative excused absences are permitted each year! Absences with doctor's notes do not count toward the 10 days.

• No costumes for Halloween celebration
• No food or candy for birthdays or holidays
• Birthday Options
  • Donate a book to the classroom
  • Give a small object to classmates like pencils, erasers, etc
• Teachers cannot hand out invitations
  • Join our class directory for classmates' addresses, phone numbers, and emails

• Art Smock - This is an old t-shirt that fits over your child's clothes. Please write his/her name on the front of the shirt.
• Tissues (especially in winter months!
• Ziploc Bags (sandwich, quart, and gallon size)

Your child's everyday school supplies will be provided for them by our school. If there is something additional they need a note or ClassDojo message will be sent home!
