My name is Jared Krupp and I have been teaching 3rd grade at Marlborough for 16 years. In my opinion, 3rd grade is a great grade to teach as the students are becoming more independent thinkers and are beginning to take ownership over their learning. I enjoy teaching all subjects, but I enjoy teaching writing the most. Writing gives students a voice and teaching students how to make that voice creative, illustrative and vivid is something that I am passionate about.
My educational background includes earning an Elementary Education degree with a focus in writing from Eastern University in 2007. At Eastern, I student taught in a 1st grade classroom, as well as learned leadership skills being the captain of Eastern's golf team for 3 years. I also earned my Master's Degree from Wilkes University in Elementary Education in 2011. Most recently I took courses to learn how to effectively integrate technology into the classroom.
In addition to teaching 3rd grade, I am also an Assistant Golf Coach for the Upper Perk HS team and former varsity boys basketball coach. I love being able to coach because it gives me an opportunity to teach, be around sports that I enjoy, and reconnect with former 3rd graders. Both golf and basketball are sports that I played growing up, enjoy watching, and continue enjoy playing to this day.
Currently, I live in the Upper Perkiomen school district with my wife, Erin, and daughters, Emery and Brynn. When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy golfing, reading, writing, cooking on the grill and spending time with friends and family.
I am very excited for what the 2023-2024 school year at Marlborough Elementary has in store!
