About School Board Meetings & Workshops
The Upper Perkiomen Board of School Directors meet throughout the year to discuss, review and vote on matters that affect the students, parents and taxpayers of the School District.
All meetings are held at the Upper Perkiomen Education Center, 2229 E. Buck Road, Pennsburg, PA unless otherwise noted. The public is invited to attend in order to learn about the developments taking place in the District and to provide input as they see fit.
Agendas for the meetings are posted the week of the meeting, typically 48 hours in advance. Minutes for the meetings are posted immediately after approval, which normally occurs at the next School Board meeting.
School Board meetings take place on the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Agenda items will be voted on by the Board at these meetings. For the 2021-22 School Year, Board meetings will be livestreamed, and the recordings will be posted after the meeting for review.
Informational Board workshop meetings will be held the 4th Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Workshops are held for all Board members to meet and discuss and/or review items in a committee of the whole structure. For the 2021-22 School Year, Board workshops will be livestreamed, and the recordings will be posted after the meeting for review. Occasionally, official action may take place at a workshop; however, that is not the norm.
School Board committees typically meet on a monthly basis to discuss topics of relevance to their missions, and bring information and recommendations back to the Board as whole. Committee meetings are not livestreamed, though they are recorded and posted after the meeting for review, with the exception of the policy committee.
