Welcome to our newest UPSD Members--the Class of 2037! This webpage serves as your Class of 2037 hub. Throughout the next few months, we're excited to help you and your child prepare for the start of kindergarten. Once you've registered your child, please come back every month to learn more about what you need to know to prepare your family and your child for kindergarten in the fall!

If you have questions at anytime, please do not hesitate to contact your child's school, or call our Student Registration Department  at 215-541-2471.

Gather registration documents. (Vaccines do not need to be complete to being registration)

Now that your child is registered for kindergarten, there are new ways you can help them learn. Try these activities, then visit your library to check out a book about it! (These are not required activities - just suggested!)

Parents and students are invited to Get Set for Kindergarten Workshops. These sessions are conducted at your child’s home school. This will be an opportunity for students and parents to meet their Kindergarten teachers and school staff, take a tour of the school building and learn about building and district procedures. Kindergarten teachers will be completing some fun activities with the kids as well.

Getting Ready for K Tips:

  • Practice rhyming and playing with sounds with your child. These are fantastic literacy skills that will help your child learn how to read.
  • Reading to your child every day for at least 10 minutes is one of the best things you can do to help your child get ready for kindergarten--and provides you both with memorable time together before your child enters school!
