Fall 2020 Spectator Policy
The following message from the Upper Perkiomen School District Athletic Office was sent to the district community on September 23, 2020:
Dear UPSD Community -
In order to create a safe environment for parents to watch their children play sports while conforming with all state and local guidelines, including the Pioneer Athletic Conference (PAC) rules, the Upper Perkiomen School District has established the following spectator rules. These rules are based upon guidance from the Governor’s Office, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and the Upper Perkiomen School Board approved Fall Health and Safety Plan for Athletics (approved Aug 27, 2020).
General Guidelines:
- All athletic events are closed to the general public. Per PAC rules, no spectators will be permitted from the opposing schools for all league events.
- Each player is permitted to have 2 spectators in attendance at all home events with the exception of high school football and high school water polo.
- HS Football - There may be limited number of spectators (associated with a player) permitted for home football games depending on the traveling size of our opponent.
- Water Polo – Given the indoor gathering limit recommendation of 25 people or less, spectators will not be able to attend home water polo contests.
- Masks are to be worn by spectators at all times.
- Ticket prices for stadium games are $5 for adults and $3 for students. (Night games only)
Football in Stadium: Given the outdoor gathering limit recommendation of 250 individuals from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the number of available vouchers for football games will be contingent on the traveling party of the opponents. If spectators are permitted, student-athletes will receive ticket vouchers for each home game which will be turned in when a ticket is purchased. Only immediate family members will be permitted to sit together. All other spectators must sit at least 6 feet apart from each other.

Soccer, Field Hockey in Stadium: Given the outdoor gathering limit of 250 individuals, each player is permitted to have 2 family members in attendance for home events. Student-athletes will receive ticket vouchers for each game which will be turned in when entering the stadium or purchasing a ticket at night events. Spectators must wear masks at all times and remain socially distant (a minimum of 6 feet apart).

Tennis and Cross-Country: Spectators must wear masks at all times and remain socially distant (a minimum of 6 feet apart). Each student-athlete is limited to 2 family members. Cross-country spectators should remain away from the finish line.
Golf: Spectators attendance is up to the individual golf course. If permitted, spectators must wear masks at all times and remain socially distant (a minimum of 6 feet apart). Each student-athlete is limited to 2 family members.
Water Polo: Given the indoor gathering limit recommendation of 25 people or less from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, spectators will not be able to attend home water polo contests.
Upper Perkiomen has installed three live-stream cameras on campus – one in Keeney Stadium, one in Tribe Stadium and one in the High School Gymnasium. All home games will be covered via the NFHS Network. The school district plans to purchase an account for the 2020-2021 school year where all regular season home games will be streamed for free (approved at the 9/24/20 Board Workshop).
