Name the New 4/5 School
Naming the New Upper Perkiomen Intermediate School on Jefferson Street
As you know, with the new middle school slated to open for the start of the 2019-2020 school year, the district is preparing to renovate the current middle school building for use as a school for grades 4 and 5. This move will alleviate space issues at Hereford and Marlborough elementaries and provide some exciting opportunities for 4th and 5th grade students.
After soliciting name suggestions from some of our current elementary students, during the month of October, we asked members of the broader Upper Perk community to submit their building name suggestions. Nearly 200 individuals responded with their preferred building name.
We’ve narrowed the list to the top four choices, and these four options account for more than half of the suggestions we received from the community. Now we need your help once again on the final community vote to name the school. To vote on the name of the building for grades 4 & 5 in East Greenville, please complete the form below no later than December 21.
During the month of December, we'll also be asking UPSD students to vote on these building name choices. The School Board will consider the results of these two polls when making the final building name decision in early 2019.
