Meaningful Learning Activities - March 2020
As an educational community, we always encourage student learning! We will miss seeing your children daily and watching them grow, but we know their natural curiosity will keep them learning and growing. We have created some grade level recommendations to assist parents and children in staying engaged and stretching their minds and bodies.
Please click on the "Meaningful Learning Experiences" link below to see our list of meaningful learning activities/suggestions. While no student work will be collected or graded at this time, we strongly encourage students to maintain engagement in learning activities. The list will grow as we are able to add additional ideas, so check back often. Please also follow us on Facebook and Twitter, as we will be posting helpful information throughout the break!
Our main concern at this time is health and wellness for our entire community. Maintaining a schedule that includes physical and academic activities will assist with a feeling of normalcy during this unprecedented school shut down. If you're interested in learning more about talking with your child about COVID -19 please click this link to Neuropsychology and Educational Services for Children and Adolescents, and this link from the National Association of School Psychologists and the National Association of School Nurses. The Pennsylvania Department of Education is posting updates here.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to email us at questions@upsd.org. Best of Health and Learning to you!
