Middle School At Home Learning

Dear Students, Parents, and Families:

Because students in grades 6-8 are familiar with online learning and are already experienced in managing long-term and ongoing assignments, the work assigned during this time of school closure will reflect a higher level of independence. The instruction available for our middle level learners will include instruction aligned to course standards, work on performance assessments, reading and research related to course content standards, introduction of materials using technology, and ongoing practice to reinforce core skills.

For your convenience, the links to the digital sites utilized by your child's teachers can be directly accessed from this page, by selecting you child's grade level.  Please be advised that a log-in, password, and access code may be necessary to access some pages. Please keep in mind that these are student access codes, parents should NOT enroll themselves in the classes. If your son/daughter cannot remember his/her password, please email the teacher who can assist in providing the information necessary for access to the site. To enter the digital platform, please simply click on the link within the "Link to Access Content" column.

To assist students/parents navigate the new world of at-home learning, instruction during the time of closure has been organized by grade and week. By selecting the week, students/parents will be able to view all content and special area expectations and resources needed to engage in learning. We are asking that students submit all work on a weekly basis. Submission of work will be utilized as a means to evaluate student learning of content standards, as well as, report attendance. There are not specific time designations for courses, but rather, students/parents can engage at times which work within the home schedule. Teachers will provide office hours each day, which are aimed to provide virtual contact with each teacher to ensure the opportunity for every child to obtain support from his/her teacher.

As we navigate into the world of at-home learning, we understand that students and parents may have questions associated with accessing and utilizing the technology resources that will be used. To access directions for the technology resources, the following links have been enclosed as a resource.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher and/or principal via email.
