HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION
For the MOST important HS information, please view these three videos. Please see our Virtual expectations, the UPHS schedule overview, and our Schoology login information. We hope these videos provide you with more information and they answer your questions. I know things are different, but I look forward to a great start and I thank you for all your flexibility and cooperation.
Bussing information to Western Center is in Skyward. Students who are normally bussed to UPHS will be given a bus stop, pick up time, and will be transported directly to Western Center. Students who normally walk to UPHS will need to be at UPHS to board the bus to Western Center. The AM Western Center bus will leave UPHS at 7:30 AM. The PM Western Center will depart UPHS at 10:55 AM. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the departure time.
MIDDLE SCHOOL INFORMATION
Mrs. Siegfried and Mr. Callan created a video to welcome students back and explain the daily schedule. https://youtu.be/hVWIivXPQ0E
This week our teachers prepared their Google Classrooms for students. Teachers added students to those Google Classrooms and that should have generated an email that was sent to your child inviting them to join that classroom. It is important that you child check their UPSD email to find their Google Classroom codes and join the class. Once they have joined the class, they will be able see the Zoom link for that particular class for Monday morning. It is important that students do this PRIOR to Monday so that they will be ready to go for the first day!
Your child was able to view his/her schedule last week in Skyward. We recommend that students check their schedule again this week as some minor adjustments/changes were made over the course of this week.
Mr. Callan has prepared a document outlining the daily and weekly schedule. Please take time with your child to review this so that they understand when they will need to log into their classes on Monday. Schedule Explanation.pdf
We hope that you will find all of this information helpful in preparing for the first week of school. Since the first week is a short week with only 4 days of school, we will not be running the Independent Wednesday Schedule. Once we get the first few days under our belt, I will send out additional information on the Independent Wednesday schedule for week 2.
