Welcome to Room 39!
I am so excited you will be joining me in this journey. This is my seventh year teaching, and I absolutely love it! It is the best job in the world.
I was born and raised in Fox Chase, Philadelphia, PA.
I loved playing all sports as a kid, especially softball.
I graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School -WE ARE CD!
When I was a teenager, my father opened a Dunkin Donuts' in Northeast Philadelphia. So,it was time to make the donuts'. I worked side by side my family for the next twenty years. Something was always brewing while working with my three sisters, one brother, and my mother and father! And I don't just mean the coffee. I graduated from Holy Family University with my B.A degree. I continued to work in the family business while having a family of my own. My husband and l have three children-Andrew, Breana, and Ethan. After many years of working along side my family, I made the decision to take a break from the business to stay home to raise my children. I love being a MOM! It is one of my greatest accomplishments and truly a special gift.
It was while I was home raising my children, I discovered my true passion. I wanted to work with kids, I wanted to be a teacher. So I headed back to school and I received my certification in Elementary Education.
I moved to Upper Perkiomen 14 years ago and I started a new adventure at Hereford Elementary as a Paraprofessional. I worked with kindergarten and first grade students'. Fast forward, a few years later, I got a position as a fifth grade teacher. Woohoo! I have now been teaching for nine years and LOVE every minute of it. There is nothing more rewarding than teaching fifth grade.
