Student Access to Everyday Math From Home: Students who were on my original class list have been entered and should be able to access Every Day Math online. That being said, I will create a calendar once we know more about the start of actual math instruction. Students cannot access actual lesson content until the calendar is created.

4th Grade Supplies
2019 - 2020
Dear Students and Parents,
We know that many families enjoy shopping as they look forward to a new school year and teachers often receive questions regarding recommended school supplies. Due to space limitations and to help you avoid making unnecessary purchases, we have compiled a list of important items for fourth graders to use in school throughout the year. Please read carefully, as there are deletions, additions, and exceptions for certain teachers.
- 2 yellow highlighters
- #2 pencils (sharpened already if possible) Disposable mechanical pencils work great too.
- pack of 12 colored pencils
- box of 12 crayons
- 1 red pen
- Fine point, unscented dry-erase markers
- 1 Clean Old Sock (for dry erase boards)
- 2 glue sticks
- Pair of earbuds/headphones (these do not need to be new!)
*Items that would also be helpful in our classroom would be: family size boxes of tissues, a container of sanitizing wipes, a pack of wide-ruled notebook paper
The fourth grade teachers will be working in teams of 2 next year with one teacher responsible for teaching ELA and one teacher responsible for teaching Math, Science/Social Studies. Additional supplies needed for Mrs. Popadak and Mrs. Rice:
-(1) 1 ½ inch 3-ring binder
- (4) 3 hole punched folders
- (2) 1 subject notebooks
-(1) pencil pouch or box
We encourage the use of traditional backpacks rather than those on wheels due to the steps in our building and limited storage space. Each student should have a designated work space at home. In this area at home students should have the following supplies available:
- pencils and erasers
- crayons, markers, colored pencils
- scissors, glue, tape
- ruler (inch and centimeter)
- multiplication and division flash cards
We hope this list of suggested supplies will assist you when making your “Back to School” selections. We are looking forward to a rewarding fourth grade year. Thank you for your support!
One big change at the Upper Perkiomen 4th and 5th Grade Center will be the departmentaliztion of our teaching staff. I am so excited to introduce my teaching partner to you, Mrs. Chrissy Rice. Mrs. Rice comes from Hereford Elementary and will be giving your child all of their ELA instruction this year. Any specific ELA questions can always be directed to her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
