My name is Alex Gruber and I will be your students 5th grade math, social studies, and science teacher this year.

This will be my sixth year in education and my second year with the Upper Perkiomen School District. Below you will find information regarding my professional background:

I graduated in 2011 from Temple University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. Soon after graduation I applied and was accepted into the Teach for America program. I was placed in Phoenix, Arizona where I taught fourth grade. After moving back to Pennsylvania I obtained a job at Hereford Elementary. I am currently working towards my masters in Universally Designed Instruction at West Chester University.

- Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday.

- Students are expected to read for 20 minutes.

- Homework will be assigned on Friday only if there is necessary make-up work.

- It should take students no more than 40 minutes (including reading) to complete their homework.
