In January 2016, a feasibility study was completed for Upper Perkiomen School District by Breslin Ridyard Fadero Architects. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requests that School Districts complete a study of facilities owned by the School District on a periodic basis. In order to properly understand and plan for changing enrollment and building needs, a feasibility study was imperative. The findings of the feasibility study were an essential component in the school board's decision to pursue a new middle school.
The study must provide an appraisal as to each facility’s ability to meet current and planned educational program needs. It must also describe the degree to which the facilities meet current construction standards, applicable codes, and provide estimated costs of repairs and upgrades. In addition, the study must contain an analysis of construction or renovation options with cost estimates.
